TY Bello shares new photos of baby Hadiza who was severly malnourished after Boko Haram attacked her parents home in Borno
Photographer
TY Bello today shared a new photo of baby Hadiza who made headlines
after photos of her malnourished body hit the internet. TY
caught up with her mother during a photo shoot in Borno recently and
took photos of Baby Hadiza. TY wrote;
"KHADIJAH MODU (BABY HADIZA ) AND HER MOTHER INNA GANA.
Few
of us will forget the first images we saw of baby Hadiza on the
Internet . Her body broken and severely malnourished .. She didn't look
like she was going to make it .
Photographs
of a recovering baby Hadiza a few weeks afterward was a beacon of hope
... Showing us how big a difference can come to the lives of the victims
of this war when individuals , organizations and the government work
together to solve a problem. It's clear we all must find a way to get
involved .

Baby Hadiza's image shook us back to
reality . She woke us up from our denial .. There was an active war
within our boarders .. And it was cold and wrong for the rest of the
country to carry on like it was all happening on another planet.

I was delighted to meet a happy Hadiza when I visited on
of the centers created specially for severe cases of malnutrition .I
almost didn't recognize her .Her mother shared their story :
"We left Bama on the first day of the attacks for Bula Karim . We walked for a day to get there. We felt it was safe.
We
spent two months in Bula Kareem.. Hadiza got sick and our food quickly
dried out .. We had a little wheat for a while .. We started starving
once it finished . We would go for three days without having any thing
to eat at all ... Thirst killed a lot of people around us in the village
.
We had to run off again at 3am after a neighboring village was burnt down and felt BokoHaram was heading our way.
We ran back to Bama with no food still and things got worse for Hadiza when I also fell ill and stopped producing breast milk.
Thankfully
,the army came to our rescue and transferred us to Maiduguri where we
recieved treatment . I'm so happy to see her doing much better .The
quarters where we received treatment is our home now .".

Thrills and Excitement As FCMB Opens Flexx Hub in MediLag, with Adekunle Gold Live in Concert!
Thrills and Excitement As FCMB Opens Flexx Hub in MediLag, with Adekunle Gold Live in Concert!
The highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by Adekunle Gold, who delighted the mammoth crowd to some of his most popular songs such as Pick Up, Orente and much more. The superstar also performed a duet with Rachel, a MediLag student who emerged the overall winner in the Flexx talent competition and took home a brand new tablet.
The grand opening on Friday marked the end of one week of exciting activation activities, where youths were invited to come #FlexxWithFCMB by participating in music, dance, game shows and talent contests and win various gifts, including one Smartphone every day for 5 days!
Earlier in the week, while speaking on the Flexx Hub launch and what makes Flexx different from the generic offering for young people in the Nigerian Banking space, the Divisional Head, Retail Banking at First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Mr. Olu Akanmu had said,
Flexx
is not just an account but a lifestyle platform that offers a customer
experience centred around Fun, Future and Banking. The tripod of ‘FFB’
is served through digital channels that fit into the lifestyle of the
Flexx target market which include the Mobile App, a Microsite and an
Online Account Opening platform, all of which allow a potential Flexx
customer open an account with FCMB without
having to visit a branch. What the physical structure of the Flexx Hub
brings to the table is a demystification and removal of the rigours of
banking, so that members of the youth market are happy to come "Flexx @
The Hub" whenever the need arises. This is the first Flexx Hub we are
opening, with many more to be opened in campuses across Nigeria before
the end of 2016".

What happened to 30 yrs old man after stealing 2packet of maggi
Bricklayer jailed for stealing two packets of Maggi
At Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Thursday sentenced a 30-year-old bricklayer Jeopardy John, to three months imprisonment for stealing two packets of Maggi cubes.
John, pleaded guilty to a three-count of criminal trespass, housebreaking and theft.
“I am sorry for the act I committed and I am pleading with the court
not to send me to jail”. He continued “It was hunger that made me to
steal. For some time now I don’t have job, please sir forgive me, and I
promise not to steal again,” the convict pleaded.
The judge, Mr Garba Ogbede, however, sentenced John to three months in prison but with an option of payment of N15,000 fine.
Ogbede also ordered that the recovered items be returned to the owner.
According to the judge, the punishment would have been more severe if he had not pleaded guilty, and saved the court the pains of a prolonged prosecution.
Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Miss Vivian Oporomo, had told the court that on July 12, Eneojo John of the same address, reported the matter at the Iddo Police Station.
Oporomo told the court that the convict broke into the complainant’s shop at about 1.30am and stole two packets of Maggi cubes, valued N700 and one DVD player valued N10, 000.
She said that when the complainant caught the convict inside his shop with the said items, he raised an alarm.
Oporomo said that during police investigation and interrogation, the convict admitted to committing the offence.
The prosecutor said the offences contravene sections 342, 347 and 288 of the Penal Code.
The convict was however unable to pay the N15,000 fine and was taken to Kuje Prison.
